To do the test, swab your mouth with the test stick in the test materials provided in the kit. Next, you continue to follow the instructions in the package insert, and then interpret the results.
The test is performed in 4 simple steps:
- Rub the swab once along your upper gum, once along your lower gum.
- Place the pad into the liquid in the testing tube.
- Wait 20 minutes.
- Read the result.
One line will appear on all completed tests to indicate that the test working. This verifies that the kit is properly. If HIV antibodies are present a second line will appear. Each test kit can only be used once.
